acquaintance. To students, I am a teacher.
To many people, I have no significant title, but I have an identity as Linda Seidler, nothing more, nothing less. And all of this is okay with me. . .really it is. . .
But a thought came to me years ago. . what identity would I have if NONE of those titles were in my life anymore? I mean what would happen if "wife" became "widow", if "mom" ended up childless, if "friend" turned into "enemy", if "teacher" becomes unemployed? So in reading God's word, I came to the conclusion that I could not let titles or names define who I ultimately was. . .all of these titles are temporary!
Many of you may think like I have. . .that "who we are" is defined by a title, what we do or who others perceive us to be. Every worldly name that we carry is temporary, and although we work hard to achieve some of those titles, someday, each and every one will cease to exist! But don't you dare let this get you down. . .there's good news. . .scripture tells us that we are known by names that have eternal significance in God's kingdom and that will NEVER be taken away from us! YAY!!
So let me show you just SOME of the eternal names you can be called as a Christ follower. . I think you are gonna love to see what God says about who you are. . .ready?
God says that. . .
